Egypt is exasperated after the deadly clash in Rafah that killed one of its soldiers. Cairo, which is investigating the clash, stated that its soldier died in a “shooting” in the Rafah border area, where Israeli forces are deployed. Cairo has warned of repercussions for Israeli military operations along Gaza’s border with Egypt. Threatening Tel Aviv, Cairo said such “conditions are difficult to control and likely to escalate tensions.”
