At least 71 people were killed and more than 250 injured in an Israeli attack on housing tents in Gaza‘s Khan Younis, news agency AFP reported.
The Hamas-run Gaza government described the attack as ‘a big massacre’, claiming that civil emergency service members were among those killed.
“The Israeli occupation army conducted a big massacre by bombarding the tent camps of the displaced in Khan Younis.The horrifying massacre killed and wounded more than 100 people, including members of the Civil Emergency Service,” Hamas-run Gaza government media office said in a statement.
The Hamas-run health ministry on said Thursday said that at least 38,345 people have been killed in the war between Israel and Hamas, and a further 88,295 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the war began when Hamas militants attacked Israel on October 7.
